What is the cost to join the Reseller Program?

There are no up-front fees to join the Melbourne IT Reseller Program.

Will my customers know they are dealing with Melbourne IT?

It’s totally up to you.  You may want your customer to know that Melbourne IT is your partner or Melbourne IT can act as a wholesaler in the background allowing you to completely own and manage the customer experience.

How do I keep track of all my customers’ services?

You can manage services directly with your own Reseller Control Panel. Features include auto renewal of nominated domains, private registration, domain locking and more.

Besides domains, are there other products/services that Melbourne IT offers?

We have a broad range of services ranging from a Hosting Service Platform, to online backup to email/SMS marketing.  The services are designed to complement the domain offerings, bringing our resellers incremental revenue.

Who determines the rate my customers will pay for the various services?

You purchase the products from Melbourne IT at wholesale rates and determine what to charge your customers. 

Can my customers use your customer support?

As part of our standard offering, Melbourne IT customer support is provided to you, the Reseller only and not to your customers directly. If a customer contacts Melbourne IT regarding a domain / service on your reseller accounts, we’ll refer them to you.

For an additional fee, “white label support” for your customers can be outsourced to Melbourne IT.

Does Melbourne IT provide phone and email support for me as a Reseller?

Yes, Melbourne IT has a designated Reseller support team that operates 24 hours to assist you whenever you need it.

Are there restrictions on what type of company can become a Reseller?

Any business may apply to become a Melbourne IT Reseller.

If I have a question about my account, who do I turn to?

All Resellers will be assigned a designated Account Manager as well as have access to our 24/7 Reseller support team.

Are there minimum volumes I have to sustain as a Reseller?

There are no minimum volume requirements for the Reseller Program.

How do I transfer my customers’ domain names?

Melbourne IT will assist you with transferring domain names from other accounts within Melbourne IT or from other registrars into your account in bulk.

How will be my customers be billed?

You manage your own billing of your customers. Melbourne IT will invoice you monthly for all products purchased. We also offer direct debit or automated credit card deductions.

For an additional fee, Melbourne IT can provide white labeled billing to your customers.

How do I handle the purchasing of the various products?

Melbourne IT offers two options:

This is a robust, scalable integration system that allows your own website to deliver real-time processes for renewals, re-delegations, domain registration and everything in between.
